About
Balance Living provides professional decluttering, organising & home management systems to busy people feeling overwhelmed with ‘stuff’ in their homes & lives.
We often find ourselves trying to find balance between work, caring for children & ageing relatives, relationships, and time for ourselves.
Clutter in our homes & minds build along with feelings of overwhelm. Our homes and systems within the home need to change as our lives evolve.
Every so often we need to stop, take stock and adjust, but with life being so busy we often don’t realise this until we begin to feel like our home and ways of doing things aren’t working for us anymore.
Balance Living can help. Supporting you to take stock, declutter, reorganise and rethink your home management systems, we help you to create an environment (both in your home and mind) that supports the function & flow of your life. Giving you back valuable time & energy, reducing daily stress and bringing calm.
Meet Rachel
Hi, I’m Rachel, a former Occupational Therapist & Rehabilitation Case Manager of over 10 years. I turned my career to Professional Organising following the birth of my daughter and love nothing more than empowering others to organise their homes and lives.
In my professional life I’ve carried out many home and daily living assessments - I’ve pretty much seen it all when it comes to homes. I always strive to deliver a professional, non judgmental service which is personalised to you and your unique goals and needs.

I live on the Wirral with my husband & daughter. After becoming a mum in 2019, followed by the pandemic, I decided to change my career path and turn my knowledge and experience to professional organising.
I’ve always been naturally organised and love nothing more than to clear & organise my environment, enjoying the sense of order and calm it brings.
I’ve often supported friends & family in organising tasks, from holiday packing & wardrobe decluttering to bereavement admin & support.
I enjoy creating spaces in homes with purpose, balancing the function of a room with the overall look & feel. When our home is uncluttered & organised, our daily life & mental wellbeing benefits.

In my professional life I’ve supported many individuals with neurological conditions, to maximise function in their homes and to develop systems to support their daily lives.
I particularly enjoy supporting individuals to maximise their cognitive potential - adapting their environment to reduce distractions. Creating clear and efficient systems for daily living tasks reduces mental effort, stress & fatigue.
Whilst this approach is particularly beneficial for neurodiverse individuals, it has benefits to us all. Taking the effort and thought out of day to day tasks, and setting up our home environments for success, results in increased function, efficiency and a clearer mind.
My approach
I believe that each area in your home should help, not hinder your daily life. I’m there to support you towards your decluttering & organising goals. Whilst it’s always tempting to dive straight in, establishing clear goals before we start is important for ensuring we are both clear about what you want to achieve, planning sessions, and tracking progress. Don’t worry if you’re not quite sure where to start - that’s something I have plenty of experience of helping with. I find that being clear in our minds first, helps us to clear the space we’re working with.
My approach to professional organising is with empathy & efficiency. I ensure you are always in control of the process, we go at your pace and we will continue to ‘check in’ to ensure your are comfortable with the way things are going and on track towards achieving your goals.
With a professional background in health & social care, I am particularly aware of the importance of privacy, dignity & confidentiality. Your personal information remains confidential at all times.
